Mad dog Swimming 2010

Welcome to the 2010 swim season at Olympic View Swim Club. Our first after-school workout will be Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 for all swimmers aged 7 and up. All participating swimmers must be registered with team fees paid and all forms returned to the team coordinator by Monday, May 24th , 2010. Speedy sixer registration is due by June 7th. Any participant registering after these dates must pay an additional $10.00 late registration fee. No registrations for swim team (with the exception of speedy sixers) will be accepted after June 14 th in order to remain in compliance with SSSL rules.

2010 Swim Team Fees:

Swim Team (age 7 by June 15, 2010): $75.00 per swimmer ($85.00 after May 24th )

Speedy Sixers (younger than 7 on June 15, 2010): $50.00 per swimmer ($60.00 after June 7th )

Forms will be available in the OV office beginning opening day, or online on the teams page or the staff /info page of the swim team section of the website. Please be sure to return all three forms (registration, SSSL participation, and volunteer form) with your payment.

General Summer Season Information

Olympic View participates in seven dual meets, and multiple post-season meets culminating in the All City Championship on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 hosted by Lakeridge Swim Club. To participate in the championship meet series, a swimmer must make qualifying times, these are available under the “Qualifying Times” tab above. Everyone who qualifies swims at one of the preliminary meets. The top 6 swimmers in each event advance to Southern Division, and the top 6 swimmers in each event when the results from Northern Division and Southern Division will advance to the All City meet. Swimmers who do not make qualifying times may elect to swim in the B-Champs meet.

New for 2010!!! If you already know what meets your swimmer will be unable to attend, we have a new 2010 season meet sign-out sheet. It is available on the forms page. Please return to the team coordinator by Monday, June 21 st . We will still be using the individual meet sign out sheets, but if you are hyper-organized, you can get a jump on things. If you fill out the meet sign out sheet, you do not need to sign out on the individual meet sign out pages posted in the pool office unless there is a change from what you have already turned in.

Time Trials: June 19th , 2010. Warmups @ 8:30 am. Trials begin at 9am.
